BackPacks for Kids
The BackPacks for Kids Program provides bags filled with food to students in need of food over the weekend. The program targets elementary students who qualify for their school’s Free Lunch Program. Many of these students rely on their school’s breakfasts and lunches for their most nutritious meals of the day. In some cases, these are their only meals of the day. These students are then faced with a food crisis over the weekend. The BackPacks for Kids Program is a way to help these students and their families until students return to school on Monday.
We support this community program by providing the Chocolate milk in October through April.
If you would like to join in and support this program, you can:
1. Write a check for $15 to Grace Church with “BackPacks for Kids” in the memo section. Put this in the offering box located in the sanctuary.
2. Purchase a case of chocolate milk at Costco and donate it at the display in the Atrium.
3. Help with packing the bags during a weekday.
4. Everyone can help by praying regularly for our children attending local schools!
